Emergency Ballast Series
PACE fluorescent emergency ballasts can be used for both normal and emergency operation. In the event of a power failure, the unit will switch to emergency mode and operate one or two of the existing lamps for a minimum of 90 minutes. Each ballast includes a battery pack, battery charger and inverter circuit. The ballast can be mounted on top of the fixture or in the fixture wire way. PACE emergency ballasts are designed to comply with the latest codes and performance standards including UL924.

PAC0314 – For one lamp emergency operation. The PAC0314 can be used with most 17 - 40 W (2’-4’) T8, T10 or T12 Fluorescent lamps without integral starters, including U-shaped, HO, VHO, circline, energy saving, and (4-pin) compacts. It is also compatible with most one-, two-, three- and four-lamp electronic, standard, energy-saving, and dimming AC ballasts. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC ballast is necessary.

PAC0388-B – For one lamp emergency operation. The PAC0388-B can be used with Most 2’-4’ single, Bi-pin T8 and T12 HO or VHO fluorescent lamps. It is also compatible with most one-, two-, three- and four-lamp electronic, standard, energy-saving, and dimming AC ballasts. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC ballast is necessary.

PAC0338 – For one-lamp illumination for one 2-pin compact lamp. The PAC0338 fluorescent emergency ballast works in conjunction with an AC ballast to convert new or existing fluorescent fixtures into emergency lighting. The PAC0338 can be used with most 10 – 26W compact fluorescent lamps with integral starters, including (2-pin) quad or triple twin-tube compacts. It is also compatible with most standard energy-saving and dimming AC ballasts. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC ballast is necessary.

PAC0315 – For one- or two-lamp emergency illumination for 4-pin compacts lamps. The PAC0315 fluorescent emergency ballast works in conjunction with an AC ballast to convert new or existing fluorescent fixtures into emergency lighting. The PAC0315 can be used with most 13 – 42 W or two 13 – 39 W (4-pin) twin, quad or triple twin-tube compacts. It is also compatible with most one-, two-, three- and four-lamp electronic, standard energy-saving and dimming AC ballasts. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC ballast is necessary.

PAC0313 – For two lamp emergency operation. The PAC0313 can be used with most 17-215 W (2’-8’) T8, T9, T10 or T12 Fluorescent lamps without integral starters, including U-shape, HO, VHO, circline, energy-saving and (4-pin) twin, quad and triple twin-tube compacts. It is also compatible with most one-, two-, three- and four-lamp electronic, standard, energy-saving, and dimming AC ballasts. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC ballast is necessary.
PAC0455-2L – The PAC0455-2L Fluorescent Emergency Ballast allows the same fixture to be used for both normal and emergency operation. In the event of a power failure, it switches to the emergency mode and operates one of the existing lamps for 90 minutes. The unit contains a battery, charger, and inverter circuit in a single can. This unit can be mounted in the wire way or on top of the fixture. It can be used with 14W through 54W (2’-4’) T5 and T8 single pin or bipin for one lamp, Instant Start and Rapid Start, 14W through 39W (2’-4’) T5 and T8 single pin or bipin for two lamp, Instant Start and Rapid Start, 18W through 50W (4 -pin) long compact Rapid Start, or 32W (4 –pin) compact, 24W through 32W U-Bend FBT8 fluorescent lamps from Philips, Osram and GE, or equivalent manufacturer with an initial output of up to 700 lumens for one or two lamps.

PAC0312 – For one and two lamp emergency operation. The PAC0312 can be used with most 17-215 W (2’-8’) T8, T9, T10 or T12 Fluorescent lamps without integral starters, including U-shape, HO, VHO, circline, energy-saving and (4-pin) twin, quad and triple twin-tube compact. One or two lamp operation may be selected. It is also compatible with most one-, two-, three- and four-lamp electronic, standard, energy saving and dimming AC ballasts. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC ballast is necessary.
PAC0457 – The PAC0457 Fluorescent Emergency Ballast allows the same fixture to be used for both normal and emergency operation. It consists of a field-replaceable Ni-Cad battery, charger, and electronic circuitry in one red case. The PAC0330 can be used with most 17 – 215W (2’ – 8’) T5, T8, T9, T10 or T12 fluorescent lamps without integral starters, including U-shaped, HO, VHO, circline, energy-saving and (4-pin) compacts. One- or two-lamp operation may be selected. It is also compatible with most one-, two-, three- and four-lamp electronic, standard energy-saving and dimming AC ballasts. If used in an emergency-only fixture, no AC ballast is necessary.
